Welcome to my page!
I am a Killeen native, I graduated from Ellison High School and got my Bachelor's degree from the University of North Texas in Social Sciences and am working on a degree in Educational Leadership from Texas A&M College Station right now! I returned to the area after college to give back to the community that gave so much to me. I began my college career exploring a double major in Psychology and Criminal Justice but couldn't escape teaching. I come from a family of teachers, both of my parents spent their careers in education and my wife is a teacher as well. I have several advanced hours in economics including Financial Literacy and Comparative Economic Systems and incorporate both areas into my lesson planning to help give my students a more holistic understanding of the content that they are learning.
Over the past several years at Killeen I have had several great opportunities to grow professionally. I have taught every level of Economics and Government as well as teaching the Senior level AVID elective course. A couple years ago I served as the Coordinator for the AVID program which was a wonderful experience working with the fine students of Killeen High School. I currently teach AP Macroeconomics as well as Ib Theory of Knowledge.
My classroom is always open for visits, and I enjoy when parents sit in on a lecture or activity to see what their child is learning.
